Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Baking with M, Week 9

This weekend was an awfully sweet one. Hashtag: good parenting.

Hubby was out of town, so the girls and I were on our own.

First, we met up with Auntie Tory at a nearby Shipley Donuts. First of all, this place was perfect for a meetup with littles. They had delicious donuts, and they had a giant chalk board for the kids to doodle on. I don’t know if all of the locations have this, but it was so good to get the chance to catch up.

By the time we left it was lunchtime, and there was an absolute downpour. We stopped at a packed Chick-Fil-A drive thru, while a poor employee took orders from the line of cars and got completely drenched. He doesn’t know it, but he was our hero. And I hope he got inside quickly after that.

While the younger sister napped, M and I decided it was baking day after all, and settled on these Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies from Allrecipes.

Because of the morning donut, we didn’t indulge too much on cookies. We had a playdate on Sunday afternoon and brought over a bunch of these cookies. They were a big hit!
